Describe the problem facing the customer/reseller, focusing on their underlying business need, rather than any solution they have proposed.
Find out who the customer, reseller, and ASC are, and their relative scope of concern. Can you see this benefiting other customers as well, and if so, how? Would this allow us to match (or exceed) existing functionality of a competitor’s product?
Is there a deal that hinges on this feature becoming available? How big of a deal?
Are there any roundabout methods of solving the problem which are currently achievable?
What solutions can you think of which we could implement to solve the problem?
